Silicone-Based High-Temperature Defoamers
These defoamers have excellent thermal stability and can withstand temperatures up to 300°C (572°F).

The role of high temperature defoamer

A high-temperature defoamer primarily functions by reducing surface tension at the gas-liquid interface, which destabilizes foam bubbles and causes them to break down. When introduced into a hot system, these high temperature processes antifoams must rapidly penetrate the foam structure, spreading to form a thin film that prevents gas entrapment and eliminates foam.
The crucial factor is maintaining this activity at elevated temperatures. The heat resistance of high temperature defoamers varies significantly based on their specific chemical composition, molecular structure, and the expertise involved in their production process (reflecting the quality from the high temperature defoamer factory). Many effective formulations rely on silicone chemistry due to its inherent thermal stability. Users often ask, “how much heat can silicone withstand?” – Specially modified silicones used in these defoamers can be stable well into the upper limits mentioned below.
Typically, quality high-temperature defoamers can operate effectively in ranges from 80°C up to 250°C or even 300°C (176°F to 482°F/572°F). However, the specific maximum operating temperature will always depend on the precise formulation and the demands of the high-temperature process itself.
Preparation Method Of High Temperature Defoamer
It belongs to the field of papermaking technology. The high temperature resistant defoamer is made of the following components by weight: 40-50 parts of polyether modified trisiloxane, 30-40 parts of polyacrylamide, 20-30 parts of rosin glycerol ester, 10-15 parts of polyacrylonitrile carbon fiber, 5-8 parts of graphene, 5-8 parts of glass fiber, 3-5 parts of sodium bisulfate, and 1-2 parts of iron oxide. The prepared high temperature resistant defoamer has good defoaming performance, can be used at high temperatures, and has the effect of improving the folding resistance and hardness of paper.
Safety & Handling
May be toxic by ingestion. Do not take internally. If ingested, drink at least two (2) glasses of water. Do not induce vomiting or give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical attention. Contact with eyes causes irritation. If eyes are contacted, immediately flush with clear water for 15 minutes and if irritation persists, get medical attention. Usage
Because this product is 100% active ingredients, used directly in the working solution is detrimental to their dispersion, so before use generally dilute the defoamers. Available diluent temperature is 20 ~ 35 ℃ water (liquid or foam), while stirring operation while adding the desired amount of diluent defoamer, 1 to 5 times to obtain a uniform dispersion. Such amount of control will become easier and more economical.
The product can also be mixed directly with strongly alkaline power detergent (defoamer added amount can be obtained in terms of the concentration of the test or reference), does not affect its anti-foaming play properties.
Packing
The product packaging specification are 25Kg, 50Kg plastic drum or according to user requirements.
Storage and transportation
5 ~ 40 ℃ sealed storage, transportation, storage should avoid heat and freezing, the shelf life of six months.
