HEDP·Na2 is an organic phosphonic acid scale and corrosion inhibitor. It can form stable complexes with various metalons (such as iron, copper, zinc, etc.) and dissolve oxides on metal surtacesHEDP·Na2 stilexhibits excellent corrosion and scale inhibition effects at 250°C, remains stable under high pH conditionss not prone to hydrolysis, and does not decompose easily under general light and heat conditions. Its acid-base resistanceand chlorine oxidation resistance are superior to other organic phosphonic acds (salts). It can form sx-membered ringchelates with metal ions in water (especially calcum ions), thus having good scale inhibition ettects and obvous solubilityimit eftects.
